Two Improvised bomb exploded in Zamboanga City, 12 hurts

Zamboanga City – Two were rushed to the nearby Hospital after another bomb exploded in front of Al Imam Mosque in Sutterville near Calarian, Zamboanga City at about 10:45 PM this evening an hour after the explosion happen inside the Mindanao Rural Transit Bus number 9224.

In the first explosion, at least 10 were wounded this evening at about 9:20 August 16, 2012 inside the Mindanao Rural Transit Bus (MRT) number 9224 with plate #JVE 212 from Pagadian City while moving some 200 meter away from the Zamboanga City terminal  along Maria Clara Lobregat Hinhway, Brgy. Guiwan, Zamboanga City.

Initial investigation by the government operatives the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was exploded at the back portion of the bus.

The rear end portion of the bus was wrecked and some windows are blown at the middle of the road that caused traffic.


Six victims confined at the WMC Hospital identified as Owen Palumar, 2 years old, Ritybeth Palumar the mother, Rochelle Tompo, Rasmiele Palanas, Reynald Fabras, bus conductor who is seriously wounded and Ryan Bababasalan,

One confined at Doctors Hospital identified as Razis Gatchalian, DENR Region 9 employee, two at the General Hospital identified as Cherry Posadas and Lando Madilla and the bus driver identified as Olivar Inu was confined at the Ciudad Medical. 

 Four of the ten were seriously wounded including the bus conductor.

Salam and advance EID Mubarak! Suara Bangsamoro condemn the Bombing that happened recently (passenger bus in Guiwan and Mosque Sutterville) that wounded several civilians. 

This is an act of disrespect to the peace that muslims and Christians pray for, as Eid’l Fitr comes near. “Call for sobriety while we cry for swift justice. We hope that this would not be used to fan a religious discontent or frame up an innocent civilian, he said. (By Jong Cadion)
