Teacher-Business Woman Kidnapped in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – THE Kidnap for Ransom Group (KFRG) strikes again and kidnapped a 49 year old teacher-business woman in Zamboanga City on Tuesday night, November 13, 2012 at her residence in Purok 5, Brgy. Labuan, Zamboanga City.

In a police report said, the victim was forcibly abducted by four unidentified armed men and brought towards a waiting gateway motorized pump boat at the nearby shore. The perpetrators and the victim were reported to have headed towards the municipality of Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte. 

Initial information gathered from the local City PNP investigators identified the victim as Ms. Flordeliza Ramones Ong-Chua, a city public school teacher, whose husband is into a business enterprise.      

Motive of the kidnapping is still unknown and the perpetrators have not yet reached the victim’s family. No individual or group has yet claimed responsibility for the abduction but civilian residents point to the KFRG behind the kidnapping.

Task Force Zambanga Commander Col. Glen G. Macasero based in Zamboanga City said that they have alerted all security forces after receiving reports on the kidnapping.

Meanwhile, 1st ID Chief Maj. General Ricardo Rainier G. Cruz III directed concerned military units in the area to help the Zamboanga City PNP pursue the lawless armed group for the immediate safe rescue of the victimin support to the law enforcement operations by the Regional Police Office. He further appeals for the support of all stakeholders in addressing lawlessness.
