Army’s Premier Division save Lives

KUTA SANG-AN, PULACAN, LABANGAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR – At least a total of 20,000cc of different types of blood donated from forty four soldiers of the 1stInfantry (TABAK) Division, Philippine Army to Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Pagadian City under its chapter Administrator Ms. Hildaliza F. Munoz held at Enlisted Personnel Club House Monday morning December3, 2012 in commemoration of the 77th AFP Anniversary on December 21, 2012 .

The activity highlights the role of the soldiers in national development and to help save lives by supplying blood to the PRC to sustain its blood requirements for the public and to manifest the spirit of “Bayanihan” or collaborative relationship among various peace stakeholders and the Philippine Army.

The event was actively participated by the personnel from Division headquarters led by the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operations, G7 Lt. Col. Jose Randolf M. Sino Cruz and Kuta Cesar Sang-an Station Hospital Commanding Officer Col. Arsenio B. Belen Jr.

At the end of the activity, Ms. Munoz expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the blood donors and to the Tabak Commander for the sincerity and commitment in supporting the PRC programs and the strong voluntarism in helping others who are in life threatening situations.

1st ID Chief, Maj. General Ricardo Rainier G. Cruz III commended the Tabak troopers who actively and willingly participated in the bloodletting activity. “The blood you donated will help save and prolong the lives of others not only in war; but also in mothers who need it during unstable delivery; and, persons with blood related disease”. MGen. Cruz said.
