CAAs’ death due to personal grudge

KUTA SANG-AN, LABANGAN, ZAMBOSUR – A member of Civilian Active Auxiliary identified as CAA Alberto B Cabiling was stabbed to death at about 12:45 early

dawn of May 11 by his companion identified also as CAA Jhon "Jay" Siay both under Bravo Company, 5th Infantry Battalion were part of augmentation personnel to guard the PCOS machines at Lantian Elementary School, Brgy Lantian, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
                                 
Cpt Rene Duran, Company Commander in his initial findings said that both CAA were residence of Brgy Cogonan, Labangan, ZDS posted at the main gate of the school as sentinel, while their companions from the PNP and Army were conducting roving patrol along the vicinity.


The two were earlier seen arguing with each other which consequently resulted to scuffle and the eventual death of the said CAA. The victim suffered multiple

stabbed wounds in the different parts of his body inflicted by hunting knife while the perpetrator immediately fled from the scene bringing with him his issued M14 rifle.

The said incident was force also to some members of the Board of Election Inspectors to abandoned the PCOS machine and vacate from the place temporarily for their safety.

security detailed, grappled with the suspect who aimed his rifle at the pursuing troop, which resulted to the wounding and arrest of CAA Siay at around 8:45 in the morning of same date and the recovery of the M14 rifle from his possession.

The wounded suspect was brought to ZDS Provincial Hospital by the responding Army for proper treatment.
