TABAK TROOPERS GIVE BGEN LUCERO HONORS FIT FOR HERO

PAGADIAN CITY – It was 3:15 in the afternoon on June 2, 2013 when BGen Daniel A Lucero’s attending physician Dra. Irene C. Lacson pronounced him dead two hours after giving the necessary medical attention at the Pagadian City Medical Center in Pagadian City.

BGen Felicito Virgilio M Trinidad Jr, AFP who was designated as General Officer-in-Command of 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division, led the “Tabak Troopers” in rendering appropriate Honors appropriate for heroes to the late BGen Lucero upon arrival at the Division headquarters on yesterday at around 11 o’clock in the morning at the Division Chapel.

oriented officer. Most of his military career was in Mindanao and his sudden death is considered as a great loss in our part,” the Commander of Western Mindanao Command LTGen Rey C Ardo, AFP, told the reporters.


WesMinCom Chief Ardo together with the Officers, men and women of the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippine, friends, media people, academe, civil society organization, and local political leaders including ARMM Governor Mujiv Hataman arrived at the 1st Infantry Division to pay respect to the remains of the late BGen Lucero.

A gun-salute was also rendered by the 9th Field Artillery Battalion. A mass in honor of the good General was held, followed by neurological service wherein words of praises for the late BGen Lucero were heaped by no less than Governor Antonio Cerilles and Assembly Woman Samira Gotoc Tumawis.

A Resolution of the Provincial Board of the Zamboanga del Sur honoring the immeasurable accomplishment in peace advocacy and contributions of the late BGen Lucero touching the lives of the people of the province was read by Vice Governor Juan Regala.

The remains of the good General will be transported  to Villamor Air Base, Pasay City today at 09:30 in the morning, June 04 2013 via C130 and will lie-in-state at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani Mortuary. Interment will be on Saturday June 08, 2013.
