PAGADIAN CITY, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR - Five brave soldiers belong to 53^rd Infantry Battalion were awarded for wounded personnel medals by BGen Felicito Virgilio M Trinidad Jr, Acting Commander of the Amy’s Premier Infantry (Tabak) Division during a short ceremony conducted recently at Kuta Sang-an, Station Hospital in Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

The five personnel who were accorded with medals are: Cpl Pio V Jumawan 805995 (Inf) PA, Pfc Vergel O Peralta 832112 (Inf) PA, Pfc Jayson W Abarra 869546 (Inf) PA, Pvt Jonathan P Abiero 903687 (Inf) PA and Pvt Evito C Aves 903675 (Inf) PA.

“With the feat you have displayed, we had assured to the public that their soldiers they leaned on are doing their work. Your action in risking your lives to save the people from the pestilence caused by the New People’s Army is a clear message that we the Tabak Troopers are ready to sacrifice everything for the people whom we are sworn to defend. Keep up the good work gentlemen, the Army needs gallant soldiers like you,” BGen Trinidad Jr appreciated the gallantry of our soldiers in his speech.
