NCIP Regional Director Salong Sunggod said that the participants have undergone three-day training on handicraft making that ended Monday.

Specifically, Sunggod said they were taught on basket weaving of different designs which they can sell as native products to boost the income of the family.
“Indigenous materials and with a great supply of rattan in the area, the handicraft-making business will be a successful project to venture,” Sunggod said.

Sunggod said the participants, who belong to the Pigsalabukan Glebon Subanen de Guinoman, are from Barangay Guinoman, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The three-day training was supervised by NCIP-Zamboanga Sibugay chief Marita Laguitan-Miñao.
