President Aquino’s impeachment a great loss to the Filipinos -- Gov. Hataman

By Teofilo P. Garcia

ZAMBOANGA CITY, July 29 (PNA) -- Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Gov. Mujiv Hataman said Tuesday the Filipinos will suffer a great lose if and when President Benigno Simeon Aquino, III will be impeached.

This was the reaction of Hataman to the impeachment complaints filed against President Aquino citing the country will lose a good leader.

In citing him as a good leader, Hataman added that President Aquino does not tolerate the wrongs committed even by his allies and supporters.

“Where can they find a President who have managed to curb corruption in our country? Where can they find a President who does not tolerate the misdeeds even that of his allies? Hataman asked.

He said the filing of impeachment raps against the President shows that there is a working democracy in the country citing “it is part of the democratic process.”

However, he said the impeachment complaints should also learn to accept defeat if and when it will not prosper.

Meanwhile, Hataman said the protesters will not stop in holding protest rallies even though they have worked together with the seating President in an election.

Hundreds of protesters held protest rallies and even tried to breach the barricade set-up by the police along the Commonwealth Avenue while President Aquino was delivering Monday his State of the National Address before the joint session of Congress at the Batasan Pambansa complex.

“They will never stop until such time they are the ones that are running the affairs of the government,” Hataman added. (PNA)
