No casualty of Philippine Air Force Chopper crash in Marawi City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (Aug. 8, 2014-MPF) --– Everybody were alive when the Chopper SOKOL 921 of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) had accidentally crashed Thursday Afternoon in Marawi City, Military official said.

First Infantry (Tabak) Division Public Affairs Officer-in-Charge Capt. Franco Suelto said that all the 4 passengers on board the chopper were safety.

Suelto said the chopper was crash when attempted to take-off at 2:23 PM in the vicinity of Camp Ranaw in Marawi City.

The Chopper was operated by Pilot PAF Major Maribell Manambao boarded by 4th Infantry Division Commander Major General Recardo R. Visaya and two others passengers were injured identified as PAF Crew SSG Darius T. Valdez and one civilian identified as Santiago Saavedra, Suelto also said.

According to the reports, Suelto said the tail and rotor of chopper were also damage.

 
The chopper was with the convoy of Department of National Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, Department Interior Local Government Sec. Mar Roxas and Department of Energy Secretary Carlos Jericho Petilla when the accident happened.
