Zamboanga del Sur honors policemen soldiers as outstanding law enforcers

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, Sept. 12 (PNA) -– The provincial government has honored six policemen and 24 soldiers in recognition to their contribution in the maintenance of peace and order in this province.

The awarding ceremony, which was led by Gov. Antonio Cerilles, was held Thursday during the Peace and Order night of the week-long celebration of this province’s 62nd founding anniversary.


The six policemen who were named as Most Outstanding Law Enforcers are the following: Senior Insp. Heidel Te-elan; Senior Police Officer 3 (SPO3) Jimmy Guervara; SPO1 Dexter Dalena; SPO1 Allan Zamora; Insp. Herminigildo Bajao, Jr.; and, PO3 Rogelio Hortillas, Jr.

The military awardees in recognition of their accomplishment on counter insurgency are the following: Capt. Sefredo Contic; 2Lt. Ian Dexter Pablo; 1Lt. Pableo Baloja, Jr.; 1Lt. John Martin Samarita; 1Lt. Leonel Alexis Tan; 1Lt. Robert Martin Dimailig; Capt. Israel Galorio; 1Lt. Leo Cadalig; 1Lt. Rovin Quitoras; Sgt. Arnel Macasling; Sgt. Ronald Alde; Sgt. Bernard Rey Tamparong; Cpl. Danilo Pableo; Sgt. Jun Rey Jusayan; Sgt. Eddiemhar Omar; PFC Regie Ronco; Sgt. Demy Jumouad; TSgt. Rogelio Tomoy; Cpl. Ronnie Halasan; TSgt. Bernardo Agpaoa; TSgt. Antonio Comison; SSgt. Modesto Gumimba; SSgt. Romeo Sambaan; and Cpl. Edwin Coton.

The Peace and Order Night forms part of the week-long celebration of the 62nd Founding Anniversary of this province that kicked-off Wednesday.

The founding anniversary celebration is anchored on the theme: “Malahutayong Programa, Gipaluyuhan sa Katawhan, Kalambuan sa Lalawigan (Sustainable Program, People’s support, Development of the province). (PNA)
