For Kumalarang, Atay said that the P380,000 of the P570,000 will be used for mat weaving project and the remaining P190,000 for handicraft livelihood project.

Atay said the GPB, which is formerly known as the Bottoms-Up Budgeting (BUB) Process, is a budget and poverty reduction reform agenda that aims to make the national budget a participatory process.

GPB ensures that communities are informed, consulted, and actually take part in projects that their local government will implement. In that sense, communities own their projects and take part in shaping their development.(PNA)
