Arrest of top 1 most wanted person in Zamboanga Sibugay

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (February 4, 2017) - Joint personnel from RSOG, RID PRO-9, 12MICO, 1^st MIB, 44th 1^st ID, 17 SF, PA, PIB ZSBPPO and Ipil MPS conducted law enforcement operation at Diane Hotel in Brgy. Tirso Babiera, Ipil in the nearby province of Zamboanga Sibugay yesterday afternoon.

PRO9 Information Officer PSUPT. ROGELIO C. ALABATA disclosed that the operation resulted to the successful arrest of one ODIH WAHAB, of legal age, a resident of upper Pangi Ipil, ZSP, CG member under Barahama Ali Group and listed number 1 most wanted person (provincial level) of Zamboanga Sibugay.

ALABATA also said that ODIH WAHAB was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of robbery and for the crime of highway robbery/brigandage. WAHAB also has a warrant of arrest for the crime of murder. He was one of the perpetrators involved during the shoot-out against government forces last May 2, 2015 in Brgy Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province that resulted to the burning of (1) unit Toyota Hilux PNP Patrol Jeep of ZSBPPSC and the killing of one SSGT JUAN A. ABLAO, 44^TH IB, PA and series of robbery incident transpired along national highway of Brgy. Tenan, Ipil, ZSP.

Recently, WAHAB was also involved on the robbery holdup incident at Brgy. Upper Pangi, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province victimizing the branch manager and employees of one network bank (ONB) Kabasalan branch last December 27, 2016 and to the killing of one EDUARDO BERBERIO JR last February 14, 2015 at Harana Court Lower Taway, Ipil, ZSP, ALABATA added.

Further, WAHAB is also included in the watch listed HVT personalities on illegal drugs of Ipil MPS. Confiscated on the possession of subject person were;

-       One (1) unit caliber 45 pistol norinco with serial number 433102

-       Two (2) magazines (caliber 45)

-       Fifteen (15) live ammos of caliber 45

-       Blasting caps and detonating cord

-       One (1) unit fragmentation hand grenade

-       Three (3) big sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia.

ODIH WAHAB was apprised on his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine and Anti torture law and subsequently brought to PIDMB, Zamboanga Sibugay PPO for booking/documentation and proper disposition together with the confiscated items.
