Police arrested person with firearm and explosive in Tambulig town

Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur (March 4, 2018) – Wanted person was arrested Saturday at 3:50 pm by the joint police operatives of Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Tambulig Municipal Police Station in coordination Media personnel and barangay officials of Bag-ong Kauswagan, Tambulig on this province.

Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Director Senior Supt Alan Molintas Nazarro identified the suspect as Ratche Yamuta Cabalay, 37. He was arrested at his residence in Purok 3, Barangay Bag-ong Kauswagan, Tambulig.

PSSupt. Nazarro said the suspect was arrested thru the implemented Search Warrant No. 54 for Violation of R.A. 9516 or illegal possession or control of any explosive or incendiary device issued by Hon. Carol M. Morales, Presiding Judge, MTC-Tambulig, dated March 2, 2018.

The police operatives successfully confiscated from the suspect One unit Cal.45 with One magazine inserted loaded with three live ammunitions and one Hand Grenade, PD Nazarro disclosed.

Arrested person and items confiscated are now under the custody of Tambulig MPS for proper disposition.
