ZAMBOANGA CITY (March 26, 2018) - PCSUPT Edwin S De Ocampo, Deputy Regional Director for Administration led the awarding of Twenty (20) performing uniformed personnel during Monday Flag-Raising and Awarding Ceremony at about 8:00 AM, Monday (March 26) inPRO9 Headquarters, Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City.

ZCPO-PRO9 PCInsp Helen L Galvez disclosed that the recipients of the PNP Merit Medal “Medalya ng Kagalingan” are PCINSP Jerry Alvarez, PINSP Nicko Czar Magnaye, SPO1 Allan Sadji, PO3 Darwin Gampal, PO3 Alfad Jamiri and PO2 Rueben Bello, all from the 904th Mobile Force Company based in Zamboanga City, for the arrest of ASG member identified as Samer Lanjang on February 15, 2018 at Zaragosa Street, Zamboanga City. Arrested ASG member was involved in the Golden Harvest Kidnapping Incident on June 11, 2011 at Barangay Tairan, Lantawan Basilan.   

PSINSP Nidjam Salim, SPO3 Ronelo Dotdot, SPO1 Junjie Apat, PO2 Harris Marcaban and PO1 Roel C Endrina, all from 902nd Mobile Force Company based in Pagadian City, for the arrest of Alvin Retuento, former high ranking member of NPA operating in Zamboanga Del Sur and Misamis Occidental and member of Private Armed Group on March 10, 2018 at Purok Gwapa, Bliss Area, Barangay Culo, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.

PSINSP Benjemar Ajibon, SPO1 Elizarde Aba, PO3 Sandy Borromeo, PO2 Bryan Mandiadi and PO1 Valerie Agraviador, all from the Regional Headquarters of PRO9, for the arrest of notorious ASG member identified as Jimmy Bla at Relocation Area, Barangay Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City on February 28, 2018. The arrested ASG was involved in the Jehova’s Witness kidnapping incident in Patikul, Sulu on August 20, 2002.

PSINSP Sonny Boy Peres, SPO1 Muzzadeigh Haman, PO2 Roberto Luna, PO2 Jonas Luminarias and PO1 Moh Shamier Jul, all from Isabela City Police Station, who were recognized for the arrest of Anding Abdua, Top 4 most wanted person in Illegal Drugs in Isabela City and member of Anjawan gun for hire group operating in Basilan Province on March 10, 2018 at Barangay Kaumpurnah, Zone 1, Isabela City.
