Zamboanga City Police Director relieved and reassigned

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur April 24, 2018) - The relief and reassignment of the City Director, Zamboanga City Police Director PSSUPT Neri Vincent D Ignacio to Police Regional Office-Calabarzon is part and parcel of the regular and normal routine in the PNP organization, Police Official said.

PRO 9 PIO-Chief Police Chief Inspector Helen L. Galvez said the reassignment of PSSUPT Ignacio was in pursuance to Special Order 5478 dated April 20, 2018 by command of the Chief, PNP Police Director General Oscar D Albayalde with the authority of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM).

PSSUPT Romulo Cleve N Taboso, Chief, Regional Personnel Human Resources Doctrine Development (RPHRDD), said any PNP personnel regardless of their ranks can be reassigned or transferred to any office/unit anywhere in the country anytime or as may be warranted by their sworn mandate.

Further, he added the reassignment or transfer of PNP personnel is not a disciplinary action, but simply a strategic for exigency based movement of the PNP personnel with the purpose of carrying out effectively and efficiently the duties and functions mandated by law on each and every member of the PNP. The officers and men in the PNP should always be ready for any possible transfer of assignment upon issuance of orders by the appropriate authority.

PSSUPT Taboso further said that the minimum tenure of assignment for the City Director is six months, while the maximum is two years.
