20 assorted loose firearms voluntary surrendered by LGUs in Kumalarang, ZamboSur

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (May 9, 2018) - A total of twenty (20) units of assorted loose firearms owned from the different Barangays of Kumalarang Municipality of this province were voluntary surrender to Kumalarang Municipal Police Station on May 7, 2018 at about 10:00am.

The voluntary surrender of assorted firearms was a result of the intensified campaign conducted by the personnel of Kumalarang MPS headed by Chief of Police Senior Inspector Dexter Gumahob Adriasagainst loose firearms through dialogue with the different incumbent Barangay Officials and other Barangay and SK election candidates during the conduct of Peace Covenant Signing on May 6, 2018.

The firearms were as follows:

-Sixteen (16) Improvised Homemade 12 gauge shotgun with no serial numbers;

-Two (2) pistolized 12 gauge Shotgun with no serial numbers;

-One (1) caliber 38 revolver, bearing serial number 2777 and

-One (1) caliber 38 revolver with defaced serial number.

Above-mentioned firearms are now under the custody of Kumalarang MPS for safekeeping.
