Police nabbed ASG member in Zamboanga City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamb0anga del Sur (May 20, 2018) – The Operatives of 904th Mobile Company, Technical Support Company and Intelligence Branch of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 (RMFB9) successfully arrested Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) member during the conduct of Intel Driven/Law Enforcement Operation at Purok 1B, Brgy. Recodo, Zamboanga City on Saturday at about 2:30pm, Police Official disclosed.

CInsp. Helen L. Galvez, Police Regional Office 9 PIO Chief said the arrested suspect identified as Hadji Gahis Attika, legal age, a resident of Sumisip Basilan, Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) based member under slain leader Isnilon Hapilon.

The combined operatives arreste the suspect by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Honorable Leo Jay T. Principe, Presiding Judge of Branch 1, RTC9, Isabela City, Basilan Province for the crime of Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention with Criminal Case nos. 3432, 3551, 3566, 3567, 3569, and 3570 in relation with Golden Harvest Plantation Kidnapping Incident, CInsp. Galvez said.

The arrested person is now under the custody of 904th Mobile Company of RMFB9 for proper disposition, she said.
