69th Charter Day and 13th Lechon festival successfully celebrated

BAROY, Lanao del Norte (June 16, 2018) - The Municipality of Baroy in the province of Lanao del Norte successfully celebrated their 69^th creation of Baroy municipality in the province of Lanao del Norte. The Araw ng Baroy was highlighted by the 13^th Lechon Festival in Lanao del Norte. “Only Baroy Municipality celebrate this kind of activity, Lanao del Norte Vice Governor Ma. Cristina Navarro-Atay said.

People from different barangays and other places witness the lechon festival and join the parade. Some residents and barangay officials said that the lechon of Baroy is different because of the secret ingredients.

Vice Governor Atay also commented, “Lami ang Lechon sa Baroy tungod kay sa kadugay na sa panahon nga ila kining gihimo ug inubanan sa paghugpong ug sa matag-usa, paghinigugmaay nga maoy magdala sa kalami sa lechon sa Baroy.” (The Lechon of Baroy is very much delicious because this is their traditional delicacy for so many years, they made Lechon with unity and love that brings more tasty) The Vice Governor join the people of Baroy in celebrating the said activity.

Baroy Municipal Mayor Rosa Dahab Olaffson was very thankful to the people of Baroy for their cooperation to make  the celebration a successful. "Akong dakong pasalamat sa tanang katawhan sa Baroy nga meduyog ug mesuporta sa atong mga kalihukan sa 69^th Araw ng Baroy ug sa ika 13^th Lechon Festival.” (My greatest appreciation to all the people of Baeeoy municipality for their unity and support that led the peaceful and successful celebration) the Mayor said in exclusive interview.

Part also of the activities was the Mass Oath-taking of newly elected Barangay and Saguniang Kabataan Officials which officiated by the Municipal Mayor. (With Jong Cadion)
