Escape of Detainee in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY (June 17, 2018) – One of the two detainees was managed to escape while they boarded marked Police mobile vehicle Seattle Mahindra on their way back to Zamboanga City Police Station-8 from Justice Hall on June 14, 2018 at about 5:45 PM, the two detainees escorted by PO2 Mohammar Dammang and PO2 Aldren M. Ahamad.

Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) PIO Chief CInsp. Helen L. Galvez identified the escapee detainee as Saidil Aming Taup, male, married, legal age, resident of Purok 3, Sinunuc, Zamboanga City, he jumped off the said mobile vehicle upon reaching near old Sinunuc Police Station at Purok 3 in Sinunuc highway in this city.  

Initial investigation conducted that while the said vehicle was in motion, travelling the aforementioned area when suddenly Saidil Taup y Aming, even with the handcuff in placed jumped from the side of the vehicle and dashed to the area of the coastal community of Purok 3.

The subject detainee is still at large. PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station-8 still conducting follow-up operation for possible apprehension of the escapee. (By J. CADION)
