Gun-For-Hire Personality Killed in Counter-Strike Operation in Zamboanga Del Sur



PAGADIAN CITY (Nov. 7, 2018) – The Combined PNP personnel of Regional Intelligence Division 9, 902nd Maneuvering Company of RMFB9 and Zamboanga Del Sur PPO Provincial Intelligence Branch jointly conducted Counter-Strike Operation / Dragnet Operation at Datoc Street, Purok Bougainvilla, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on November 7, 2018 at about 8:30am, police official said.

Police Regional Office 9 PIO Chief PCINSP Helen L. Galvez discosed that the operation was in response to an urgent intelligence information indicating that a crime is about to be perpetrated by a gun-for-hire personality identified as one EpipanioInso Y Lumisay, aka “Yong-Yong”, Filipino, of legal age, male, and a resident of Langilan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Galvez said that in the said counter-strike operation, the above-mentioned suspect, in a regular stop-and-frisk measure, opted to engage the operating PNP personnel in a brief gunfight resulting to the untimely death of the former (suspect). No casualty on the part of the PNP operating personnel.

Galvez added that the scene was then process by the responding SOCO Team from Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Crime Laboratory, based at Camp Abelon, Lumbia, Pagadian City.

Recovered from the scene are the following evidence, to wit:
One unit Caliber 45 Pistol;
Three pieces Magazine Assembly for caliber 45;
Twenty-four pieces Ammunition for  caliber 45;
One piece Magazine Assembly for caliber 9mm;
Ten pieces Ammunition for caliber 9mm;
Nineteen pieces of 12 Gauge Shot Gun Shell;
One  unit MK2 Fragmentation Hand Grenade ;
One piece Fired Cartridge Case for caliber 40; and
One piece Fired Cartridge Case for caliber 9mm;

Galvez said cadaver sustained two Gunshot wounds at the Chest, one GSW at the Right Shoulder, one Gunshot wound at the Chin, two Gunshot wounds at the left side of the neck and one Gunshot wounds at the back of the head. (By JONG CADION)
