2 Nabbed, Half Kilo Shabu Seized in Zamboanga City Drugs Ops

PAGADIAN CITY (Jan. 22, 2019) - Combined operatives of PDEA-Regional Office 9, Drugs Enforcement Units of Zamboanga City Police Office and Zamboanga City Police Station 11 arrested two individuals and seized some 3. 4 Million Pesos worth of suspected Shabu during drug buy bust operation in front of Jollibee Plaza Pershing corner Zaragoza St. Brgy. Zone 4, Zamboanga City at about 4:20 PM of January 22, 2019.

Police Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the two drug suspects as Sarah Abdulgafur Sawajaan 36 years old, high school graduate, jobless married and a resident of Brgy. Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City and Fatima Sahidan y Amirul, 40 years old, widow, elementary graduate, jobless and a resident of Kaluang Jolo, Sulu.

Confiscated from their possession were Ten (10) Large sachets of suspected shabu more or less 500 grams with an estimated street value of 3. 4 Million Pesos and 700 Thousand pesos Boodle money with One (1) original 1000 pesos bill.

Confiscated items and Subject persons were brought to PDEA9 for Laboratory examination and for filing of appropriate charges in court.

As this developed, PCSUPT Licup lauded the operating units of PDEA-Regional Office 9 and Zamboanga City Police Office under PSSUPT Thomas Joseph Marthir for a well done.

Early of last year, PDEA agents, backed by operatives from Zamboanga City Police Office, also arrested five people and seized some PHP9.8 million worth of suspected shabu during the drug buy-bust operation along Rajah Soliman St., Barangay Zone IV and Pilar St., Barangay Zone IV, Zamboanga City.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, said that the operation is part of the conduct of high-impact operations to accounts for major drug traffickers in Western Mindanao as ordered by PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde. (By JONG CADION with PRO9 PR and photos)
