Three NPAs Surrenders in Iligan


PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboangadel Sur (Jan. 25, 2019)– One active member and two NPA Militia surrendered to 51st Infantry Battalion in Brgy. Rogongon, Iligan City on Saturday (January 12, 2019).

Capt. Clint Antipala. Division Public Affairs Acting Chief disclosed that the three also yielded two caliber pistols and ammunitions to the troops of Lt. Col. Jasper EdwardObar, the 51st Infantry Battalion Commander.

“Based on our initial custodial debriefing, they are pressured to our troops who were relentless in combating the communists NPA terrorists in the hinterlands of Iligan City,” Lt. Col. Obar said.


Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Roseller Murillo, 1st Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Zampelan (Zamboanga Peninsula and Lanao Provinces) Commander, commended the efforts of the troops that led to the surrender of the three communist NPA terrorists.

“We encourage more NPAs to surrender and take advantage of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of the government.” Maj. Gen. Murillo added.(By JONG D. CADION with DPAO PR and photos)
