PRO 9 Culminates Women’s Month Celebration

ZAMBOANGA CITY (April 9, 2019) - The Police Regional Office 9 (PRO-9) marks the culmination of the celebration of Women’s Month with the commendation of outstanding female police officers and night convening ceremony of all police woman held at PRO9 Quadrangle, Camp Romeo Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City last March 31, 2019.

Police Brig. General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director led the giving of awards and recognition to nine deserving policewomen who were cited for operational and administrative accomplishment in their respective field assignment. The PRO9 Director, in his resounding message, recognizes the role of women in peace building through gender and development activities.

One of the highlights of the culmination event was the formation of an all-female officers’ battalion led by Police Lt. Col Aileen E Aranas, Deputy Chief of Regional Personnel Human Resource Doctrine Development.

Marks the culmination of the women’s month is the culmination program of women's month entitled “a night with empowered women of PRO9" held during the night. The event was a gathering of all female police officers who clad in their beautiful gown as they showcase their beauty and talent during the night that was exclusively belong to them.

It was graced by no other than the wife of PBGEN Emmanuel Luis D Licup, Mrs. Marjorie P Licup who was the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In her message, emphasized that empowerment is a choice and a state of mind. She also added that behind every man's success is a woman.(By JONG CADION with PRO9 PIO)
