More than Php517K Worth of Assorted Firecrackers Confiscated in separate ops in ZamPen

More than 1, 986 pieces and packs of firecrackers such as five star, Judas belts, rockets (kwitis), piccolo, sticks of seven colors and among others amounting to Php517,270 were confiscated by the police. (Photos provided by PRO9 PIO)

PAGADIAN CITY (Jan. 2, 2021) – A total of Five hundred seventeen thousand two hundred seventy pesos (517,270.00) worth of Firecrackers and other Pyrotechnic Devices during the separate operations against the violators of RA 7183 in Zamboanga City and in Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay Province on December 31, 2020.

Police personnel of Regional Civil Security Unit 9 led by PMAJ Ricardo C Banes Jr. together with Ipil Municipal Police Station seized with an estimated value of five hundred thousand (Php500,000) pesos during the conduct of joint operation against the violators of RA 7183 known as “An Act Regulating The Sale, Manufacture, Distribution and Use of Firecrackers and other Pyrotechnic Devices” at Freedom Stage, Brgy. Poblacion, Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay Province on December 31, 2020 at 3:00 PM.

The said firecrackers were brought to Ipil Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

P17,270 Worth of Assorted Firecrackers Seized in Zamboanga City

Police units of Zamboanga City Police Office confiscated a total of P17,270.00 worth of assorted firecrackers and impounded 8 motorcycles for violation of excessive noise in a separate implementation of RA 7183 known as “An Act Regulating The Sale, Manufacture, Distribution And Use Of Firecrackers And Other Pyrotechnic Devices

The operations was successfully conducted at the different barangays in Zamboanga City by the members of Task Force Limpiesa of City Hall Police Action Center of Zamboanga City Police Office against ambulant/illegal vendors particularly on the sale of firecrackers and pyrotechnics at City Public Market, Brgy. Zone 1, Zamboanga City at 1:00 PM of December 31, 2020.

Among the confiscated are following: 25 bundles Mabuhay Dozen Luces (small)- 1,375.00; 276 boxes Sparklers -1,380.00; 1 pc Apollo Silver Fountain (big)- 200.00; 1 pc Fountain (small) -120.00; 3 boxes Snapper (small boxes)-60.00; 1 pc Trompillo-     -60.00; 100 pcs Assorted sizes of Plastic Trumpets- 2,000.00.

Operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 conducted operation against ambulant/illegal vendors particularly on the sale of firecrackers and pyrotechnics that resulted to the apprehension of Halid A Mohammad, 34 years old, male, married, of Arena Blanco, this City who was caught in the act selling fire crackers at Zamboanga City Public Market, Zambonaga City at 3:00 PM of December 31, 2020.

Confiscated from his possession were the following: 45 pieces Mabuhay Dozen Luces-2,475; 120 boxes Sparklers-1,200; 5 pieces Silver Fountains-600; pieces Apollo Silver-800.

Subject person and the confiscated items were under the custody of said police station for proper disposition.

Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 8 conducted operation against prohibited possession and use of firecrackers at 36th IB, Barangay Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City at 9:30PM of December 31, 2020.

This resulted in the confiscation of firecrackers as well as impounding of motorcycles as follows;   5 pcs Fountain (small) - Php600.00; 2 pcs Fountain (big) - Php400.00; 8 pcs Trompilyo - Php480.00; 50 packs of Sprakler - Php500.00; 4 pcs Boga and 8 impounded motorcycles for violation of excessive noise

Operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted operation against illegal vendors particularly on the sale of firecrackers and pyrotechnics at Brgy. Mampang, Zamboanga City at 4:00 PM of December 31, 2020.
