REACT Philippines recognizes WestMinCom’s peace and development efforts

PAGADIAN CITY (April 22, 2021) - Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr. was awarded a Plaque of Appreciation on Thursday, April 21, 2021.

Mr. Jojen “Hitman” Baybay, the National President of REACT Philippines thru Mr. Henry Bicoy, the Vice President of REACT National Incorporated and Region Chief of REACT Region 12, awarded the Plaque of Appreciation to Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. recognizing his relentless and unending support to the organization going to the Chartering of New REACT Kamun Group in Siasi, Sulu and in Induction of new officers and members of REACT Tiger Lobster Group in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on November 13, 2020.

REACT Kamun Group is a newly organized civic group in Siasi, Sulu which aims to magnify the spirit of volunteerism in the said municipality. The group provides support during the conduct of outreach programs and other related activities initiated by either government or non-government agencies.

In his message, Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. expressed his appreciation to REACT Philippines for the recognition bestowed to him.

“Let us continue to work together to achieve our common goal. As the commander of the Western Mindanao Command, I continuously commit myself towards peace and progress here in Mindanao. It is assured that with your support, we will soon attain lasting peace particularly in the province of Sulu,” said Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. 

The simple awarding ceremony was held at the Commander’s Office in Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City and was witnessed by WestMinCom Deputy Commander for Admin Brig. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, 4th Civil Relations Group Commander Lt. Col. Jomar Daquioag, the Command Staff, REACT Green Leaves Group Chief Mr. Zandro Trayvilla, REACT Alicia Group Chief Jezrell Romero, REACT Taguk Group Chief Emmanuel Sugang, Green Leaves Past Group Chief Fidel Castro, and Immediate Past Group Chief Elmer Hinay.
