Government forces nab wanted personality in Tawi-Tawi

 PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (June 5, 2021) - Combined elements of the AFP and PNP conducted law enforcement operation that resulted in the apprehension of one of the top 10 most wanted personalities in Tawi-Tawi, Southern Philippines.

According to WestMinCom Commander Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr. troops of the Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi together with personnel from Sitangkai Municipal Police Station captured Al-Mujil Abdu at Pondohan Siantok Talipao, Barangay Poblacion, Sitangkai at 3 p.m., May 31, 2021.

“Abdu was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of kidnapping and serious illegal detention under criminal case number 1722-5 with no bail bond recommended issued by Judge Peter Eisma, acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 5,” said Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr.

Subject personality was brought to Sitangkai MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas, Commander of Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi commended the troops of the 312MC and MBLT12 for their numerous accomplishments.

“All our successes are attributable to the hard work and dedicated service of our soldiers and the unwavering support of the peace-loving people of Tawi-Tawi,” said Brig. Gen. Rojas.

Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi listed a total of 11 lawless elements apprehended and four firearms seized since January.

“Rest assured that we will continue to work hand-in-hand with other law enforcement agencies to neutralize lawless elements who continue to lay out plans to create havoc in the peaceful communities,” said Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. (By JONG CADION with report and photos from WestMinCom-PIO)
