WestMinCom officers, enlisted personnel donned new rank

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (Aug 11, 2021) - Newly promoted officers and enlisted personnel of the Western Mindanao Command were donned new ranks on the morning of August 10, 2021.

Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., pinned new rank insignia on three officers and 22 enlisted personnel of the command in a simple ceremony held at the Eisenhower Hall, Khadaffy Mansion, Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city.

Promoted to the rank of Major are Cpt. David Cayton, Cpt. Kristoffer Maghanoy, and Cpt. Ginky Olandag.

Meanwhile, of the 22 enlisted personnel, one was promoted to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, five to Master Sergeant, eight to Technical Sergeant, four to Staff Sergeant, three to Sergeant, and one to Corporal.

In his message, Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr., acknowledged the indefatigable dedication and invaluable services of the newly-promoted officers and enlisted personnel that contributed to the accomplishment of the command’s multifarious objectives.

“It is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to pin this milestone in your military career. Your promotion is a testament not only to your achievements but to your proven potential throughout your decades-long military service,” said Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr.

He also urged the newly-promoted personnel to remain steadfast and continue to exert exemplary efforts in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities as public servants.

The donning of ranks ceremony was graced by Brig. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, WestMinCom Deputy Commander for Administration; Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas, Deputy Commander for Operations; Col.
