JV, son of San Juan will be the guest of honor and speaker during the second day of the Philippines Councilor League (PCL) 3rd Quarterly National Executive Officers and National Board Meeting which begun yesterday  (Sept. 12) at the  Garden Orchids Hotel.

Spokesperson for JV said the lone district Congressman of San Juan will emphasize leadership virtues and local management principles and style to the members of the PCL based from his long experience as a former local government executive or 9 years, particularly on his various achievements in San Juan.

Ejercito, the endeared son of now incumbent San Juan mayor Guia Gomez  was invited by PCL to grace the event.

The son of former President Joseph Estrada was elected mayor of San Juan in 2001 and served for 3 consecutive terms, whose stint as local chief executive was laudable for embarking on his successful pro-poor projects, social reform and poverty alleviation programs as well as his efficient tax collection and sound fiscal management.

With his effective pro-poor programs which he initiated for his constituents, Ejercito, while observing transparency and accountability, was able to increase local revenues from over P300M to P1-Billion by the end of his term  prior his election as new member of the House of Representative, the spokesman said.

As indicated, San Juan has a low poverty incidence of only 3 percent compared to other towns which he attributes to good governance.

Exchanges on various issues and concerns pertaining the country with members of the local tri-media personalities through interviews will also be spent by Cong. Ejercito while briefly here in the city.

While in Asia's Latin City, Cong. Ejercito will meet City Mayor Celso Lobregat when he pays a courtesy call at the city hall.
