1st ID Celebrates the 21st OESPA Foundation Anniversary and AFP Code of Ethics

KUTA SANG-AN LABANGAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR  – The 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division, Philippine Army observes the AFP-wide celebration of the 21st Foundation Anniversary of the Office of the Ethical Standards and Public Accountability (OESPA) and AFP Code of Ethics Day with the theme “Serbisyong Tapat, Walang Katapat” on Monday’s regular flag raising ceremony attended by the Tabak troopers and civilian employees at the Division Parade Ground.

The OESPA serves as the arm that ensures adherence of soldiers to ethical and moral standards in line with pertinent laws and AFP rules and regulations.

The celebration started with an invocation led by the Assistant Division Chaplain Cpt. Randolph E. Lanaja followed by the oath of the Officers, men and civilian employees on the renewal and adherence to the AFP Code of Ethics.

1st Infantry (TABAK) Division Chief Maj. General Ricardo Rainier G. Cruz III AFP led the Tabak Troopers and civilian employees in taking their oath. Assistant Division Commander Brig. General Felicito Virgilio M. Trinidad Jr. read the message of the Commanding General Philippine Army for the occasion while that of the Chief of Staff, AFP by MGen. Cruz.

To each and every one, may you always abide by the overarching requirements on the respect for human rights, humanitarian law and rules of engagement.
