LAMITAN, BASILAN – This is a good move of candidates seeking divine guidance before going to face the challenges of election campaign. This was the homily of Fr. Edgar Rivero during the holy mass at the St. Peter Church this morning, April 1, 2013.

The bible says from the book of Mathew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all this thing shall be added unto you.” Fr. Rivero in his message.

Fr. Rivero who officiated the holy mass challenged the candidates to stop corruption in the government service following the P-Noy program "patungo sa tuwid na daan." 

The holy mass conducted for the Lamitan kung Mahal Team candidates under the Liberal Party headed by Mayoralty candidate Rose Furigay and the incumbent Mayor Oric Furigay who is also running for vice mayoralty position in Lamitan City.

This evening, the city candidates will be showing their programs and unity for the continuing development of Lamitan during their first rally campaign that will be held at the heart of the City in Quezon Ave.

The official campaign for local candidates started yesterday here in Lamitan City with the opening salvo of Autonomous Region for Muslim

Proclamation Rally

Mindanao (ARMM) candidates headed by the administration candidates OIC ARMM Governor Mijiv Hataman of Team P-Noy Reporma for Basilan together with the provincial candidates down to the municipal gaining excellent supports by the people.

More or less 10 thousand supporters of the administration candidates from all over the province troops to Barangay Sta. Clara before proceeding to Lamitan City proper for their proclamation rally.
