KuMuNet launch Radio Programs

COTABATO – The Kutawato Multimedia Network (KuMuNet) had launched their Radio Project “Bangsamoro Ngayon: Tinig ng Kapayapaan” (Bangsamoro Today: Voices for Peace) on August 15, 2013.

The said program is on the air every Thursday at 7:00 to 7:30 in the evening via local Radio Stations of the Notre Dame Broadcasting Cooperation DXMS in Cotabato City, DxND Kidapawan, Radio Station DXMM in Jolo, Sulu and Radio Station DXGD in Bongao, Tawi-tawi. We can listen to the radio program at frequency 882 kHz (DXMS Cotabato), frequency 747 (DXND Kitapawan) and via internet www.ustream.tv/channel/dxms882 . 

The program foresees to support the information flow on the Bangsamoro Peace Process to facilitate and support conflict transformation processes in the region. It will provide the latest news on the peace negotiations, interviews with the people in the communities (VoxPop), comments of leadership/stakeholders in the peace process and other relevant and current information of happenings and events in the Autonomous Region in Muslijm Mindanao (ARMM) Region. The program will be in Tagalog.

A special slot in the program is reserved for news on Disaster Risk Reduction topics, emergencies and community health information. In case your organization likes to make use of this service you are free to contact us to place your news item, latest Thursdays’ at 6:00 o’clock in the evening.

The radio project is funded by GIZ Civil Peace Service and forumZFD-Civil Peace Service. It is implemented by ten local CSOs from Cotabato who merged in 2008 into the network Kutawato Multimedia Network (KuMuNet) to utilize media for conflict transformation.

“We are hoping for a large listeners’ community in solidarity with us to support the Peace process of the people in Bangsamoro and we are looking forward to your feedback and any support you can extend to our initiative for peace,” said Karen Watermann, Project Manager Cotabato forumZFD (Civil Peace Service).

“The said project is on the pilot phase was launched this month that will end on December of this year. Kung magiging maganda and feedback ng aming mga listening public maaring mag extend ang programa at dependi na rin sa result of the evalauation and assessment,” Project Officer Cotabato forumZFD (Civil Peace Service) Hasna Adi also said.

Regarding po sa inyong suggestions about sa radio program, e raise at pag uusapan po namin sa  darating na meeting ng netwrok.

Sa ngayon po nasa pilot phase (August to December) palang ang aming radio program. Kung magiging maganda ang feedback ng aming mga listeners maaring mag extend ang programa. on which we can consider extending our coverage, etc. dependi sa result the evaluation and assessment.
