American and British National Found dead in separate places in Southern Philippines

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (September 7, 2013) – Reports reaching Police Regional Office said, two foreign nationals found dead in separate places in the afternoon on September 5, 2013 here in Zamboanga Peninsula, Southern Philippines.

A dead body of American National was reportedly found by the concern citizen at the vacant lot of Purok Makabibihag, Balangasan District Pagadian City at about 6:45 in the afternoon on September 5, 2013. While the British National found dead hanging with electrical cord inside his residence at Sitio Taguikon, Barangay Binuangan, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte at 4:45 in the afternoon of the same day.  

Pagadian City Police Station Commander P/Supt Glenn Macarion Dulawan identified the American National as Angelo Edward Roncari 65 years old, and a resident of the same place. Police recovered Revolver Caliber 38 pistol from the cadaver of the victim tacked on his waist.

Police initial investigation disclosed, Mr. Roncari left their residence Monday at 10:00 o’clock in the morning with depression mode. Since then, victim failed to return home until his body found dead. 

P/Supt Dulawan said, based in an autopsy result the victim died due to heart attacked.  

Police also identified the British National as John William George Teahan, 73 years old married to Agnes Pinote of the same place.

Their neighbor founded the victim hanging at the stock room inside their house and was rushed to Sindangan District Hospital for medical treatment, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

In the initial investigation disclosed,  the victim prior to the incident requested his wife to proceed to the town proper to print out his plane ticket from his e-mail address for his trip in going to London with the flight scheduled on September 10, 2013.  While at the town proper, victim’s wife had contacted him several times, thru cellular phone, but failed to answer. 

Victim’s worried wife sought the assistance of her neighbor, a certain Belen Kilat to verify her husband.  When verified, Belen was shocked when she noticed that the British National was already hanging at the stock room.

It was found out that the victim allegedly committed suicide due to his suffering from depression because his diabetes illness. The cadaver was claimed by the wife, for funeral services. 

As of press time the police continue conducting follow-up investigation of the case to determine if there was foul play over the death of two foreign nationals.
