Pagadian police arrest 3 suspected criminals after shootout



PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, March 6 (PNA) -– The police have captured three wanted persons following a brief shootout in an outskirt barangay in this city, a police official announced Thursday.

Supt. Glenn Dulawan, local police chief, said the shootout ensued around 5 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay Lison Valley, this city, when the suspects opened fire upon seeing the arriving policemen backed by militiamen.

Dulawan identified them as Armando Bantayan of Lison Valley, this city, Armon Salibulan and Polito Salibulan, both residents of Midsalip town.

Dulawan said the suspects are facing murder and homicide charges before a local Court and corresponding warrants of arrest were issued against them.

He said confiscated from the suspects’ possession were a homemade shotgun, an M-14 rifle, and an air gun with ammunition.

He said the suspects were detained at the local police headquarters. (PNA)
