PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, Sept. 17 (PNA) –- Senator Jose Victor Ejercito announced here that he has lined up three priority programs aimed at developing Mindanao.

Ejercito made the announcement Wednesday as the guest speaker in the culmination of the week-long 62nd founding anniversary of this province.

Ejercito said his programs include the implementation of infrastructures like the Mindanao railway system that will help boost the economy of Mindanao; solution of Mindanao’s energy problem; and the peace and order condition.

Ejercito said the three priorities he lined up in the senate serve as rewards to the Mindanaoans for the support given him in the last elections.

Meanwhile, he promised to support the stand of Gov. Antonio Cerilles against the inclusion of this province in the creation of the Bangsamoro Region.

“If the majority of the people of Zamboanga del Sur headed by your governor, Tony Cerilles, are against the inclusion of the province in the Bangsamoro Region, I will also support as your voice in the Senate,” he said.

Ejercito also commended Cerilles for organizing the Barangay Emergency Response Team (BERT) as an anticipatory move to respond to calamities that may happen in this province.

The culmination program of 62nd founding anniversary was attended by the province’ 26 municipal and city mayors including the 3,000 members of BERT.

The culmination program also coincides with the 65th birthday of the first lady of this province, second district Rep. Aurora Cerilles. (PNA)
