PNP encourages the public to report any lawbreaking PNP personnel

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (February 17, 2017) - This pertains to the comparative statistics by the PNP Directorate for Personnel Records and Management (DPRM) on the number of administrative cases resolved and number of personnel charged with administrative cases as of 2016, along with the rigorous campaign of the PNP’s internal cleansing operations.

As per records of the DPRM, the administrative cases resolved against erring PNP personnel nationwide increased by 33 or 10.06% from 295 in 2015 compared with 328 resolved cases in 2016.

Likewise, 1,122 personnel were charged with administrative cases. 106 of which were Police Commissioned Officer (PCO’s), 996 were Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO’s), and 20 were Non-Uniformed Personnel.

In which 742 personnel committed grave offenses which involves offenses on drugs, robbery/extortion, theft, car napping, human rights violation, graft/malversation, and other grave offenses; 259 personnel were involved in less grave offenses such as failure to follow lawful orders, failure to submit report, absence during duty, AWOL, and other less grave offenses; while 121 had simple offense such as command responsibility, non-payment of debt, absence during flag raising and other simple offenses.

The PNP encourages the public to report any errant PNP Personnel to the PNP CITF through its Hotline Numbers 0998-9702286 and hopes for the continuous trust and support to the police force.
