Davao Norte still leading the weeklong Batang Pinoy Mindanao Games 2018

PAGADIAN CITY,Zamboanga del Sur (March 9, 2018) - As of Thursday (March 8/5PM) medal tally, Davao del Norte still leading the way during the weeklong Batang Pinoy Mindanao Qualifying Leg 2018 held in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental Sports complex.

Davao del Norte had gatherd 13 Gold, 7 Silver, 9 Bronze against the other 26 Team medalists from the total 229 medals awarded by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) since the start of the competition last March 6.

However on the medal count, Koronadal City has 11 Gold, 12 Silver and 10 Bronze meaning as of March 8/5PM Koronadal City leads on medal count with a total of 33 medals, while Davao del Norte has only 29 medal count as of March 8.

Meanwhile, General Santos City is now the third place on medal standing with 10 Gold, 9 Silver and 11 Bronze totaling to 30 medal count. Bukidnon who came in third place last March 7 medal count but yesterday the province of Bukidnon gathered 18 medal with 2 Gold, 11 silver and 5 Bronze while Davao City and Zamboanga City garnered 8 Gold each but differs on Silver and Bronze medals. Davao City 3 Silver and 1 Bronze while Zamboanga City has 2 silver and 7 Bronze.

Other Batang Pinoy team medalist as March 8/5PM are Dipolog City has 5 Gold, 2 silver, 1 Bronze. South Cotabato has 3 Gold, 6 Silver, and 8 Bronze, Cotabato Province 3 Gold, 3 silver and 5 Bronze. Hagonoy, Davao del Sur 3 Gold, 2 silver, Panabo City 3 Gold, 1 Bronze, Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze, Tagum City (2 Gold, 1 silver and Iligan City has 1 Gold, 6 silver and 1 Bronze.

Province of South Cotabato gathered 1 Gold, 1 silver and 4 Bronze, Cagayan de Oro City with 1 Gold and 2 Bronze, Sindangan, ZaNorte has 1 Gold and 1 Bronze. Kidapawan City with 1 Gold, Tawi-tawi 2 Silver and 3 Bronze, Plaridel, Misamis Occidental 1 silver and 2 Bronze Calamba, Misamis Occidental 1 silver and 1 Bronze, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental 1 silver and 1 Bronze, Mati City 1 silver, Island Garden of Samal 1 silver, Mati 1 Silver and Pagadian City 1 Bronze.

As of March 8, Philippine Sports Commission has released and awarded 78 Gold, 75 silver and 76 Bronze medals totaling to 229 medals to qualified winners of the Batang Pinoy Mindanao Qualifying Leg 2018.(With reports from Philip James M Tremedal)
