Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 hailed as the PRO9 Ganda Pulis 2018

PAGADIAN CITY (March 9, 2018) - The Police Regional Office 9 (PRO-9) in observance of the Women’s Month held a search for GandaPulis 2018 at the PRO9 Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Romeo A Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City on March 7, 2018.

Police Region Office 9 (PRO 9) Public Information Officer PCINSP Helen L. Galvez said that some Thirteen lovely candidates’ PNP personnel coming from the different police units in PRO9 showcase their beauty, talent and poise held at the PRO9 Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Romeo A Abendan, Mercedes in Zamboanga City.

Public Information chief disclosed that PO1 Madonna Gay Cajocon of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 hailed as the PRO9 Ganda Pulis 2018 winner. She will represent the PRO9 in the National Search for “Gandapulis 2018” to be held from March 15-23, 2018 at the PNP Headquarter, Camp Crame, Quezon City.

On the other hand, PO1 Cecarmae Soriano of Zamboanga Sibugay PPO bagged the 1st runner-up and PO1 Ella Abdurasan of Zamboanga Mobile Force Battalion as the 2nd runner-up, PCINSP Galvez said.

PO1 Madonna Gay Cajocon also bagged the PNP’s choice award while PO1 Cecarmae Soriano also won the best in production, best in talent and best in cocktail wear, she added.

The criteria for judging are as follows: Ganda sa Paningin, 40 percent; Ganda ng kalooban, 25 percent; Talentado, 20 percent; and Ganda sa sarili or confidence, 15 percent. There will be no swimsuit competition but awards include, best in cocktail wear, best in talent, best in production, PNP’s choice award and the question and answer portion.          

The search for ‘Ganda Pulis 2018’ (beauty contest for policewomen) is aimed to recognize the role of policewomen, strengthen public advocacy on issues concerning women and to highlight the participation of women on leadership roles and social responsibility.       
 
This is a project of the Police Community Relations Group (PCRG) in support of the National Women's Month Celebration. It is a week-long search for the country's most confidently beautiful policewoman with the participants coming from the different Police Regional Offices, NSU's and the 5 districts of the National Capital Region Police Office.
