Gov’t troops intercepted Cargo Truck loaded with smuggled Rice

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (April 19, 2018) – TRhe government troops of Team 12 of 3rd Mobile Force Platoon of Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company while conducting checkpoint at Baliwasan Seaside intersection adjacent to Taja Wharf take hold One (1) unit Ten-wheeler truck bearing plate number 092003 Tuesday at 9:30pm loaded with smuggle rice, Police Official said.

Police Regional Office-9 Chief-PIO Chief Inspector Helen L. Galvez identified the Cargo Truct driver as Ricky Cristobal Prado of legal age, married and a resident of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. The Cargo Truck loaded with more or less One thousand Two Hundred (1,200) sacks of alleged smuggled rice sold to a certain Julius Pulmano of Pagadian City.

In the initial investigation disclosed that upon verification made by the Bureau of Customs Zamboanga City Office, the proprietor of Alec Rice Retailer named Joseph U. Rulete of Tumaga Interior of Zamboanga City thru  his representative Hadji Hassan Asmad Usman presented pertinent documents to  Joan Fatima B. Natividad, Administrative Officer of the Bureau Customs.

The Bureau of Customs Administrative Officer SA1 Natividad ordered the release of the cargo truck including the One Thousand Two Hundred (1,200) sacks of rice at about 12:30 PM of April 18, 2018.
