OFW runs for brgy chairman,vows to look after youth’s welfare, provides basic services

PANTAR, Lanao del Norte (May 6. 2018) - Equipped with his experience and educational attainment, Hashim Macabantog, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Public Administration (BSPA) opt to settle his luck in public service and run for Barangay Chairman in Barangay Kalilangan  East  Pantar, Lanao del Norte.

Macabantog being a graduate of Public Administration is an edge to his opponents because of his qualification to lead and run the barangay office.

He is an Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) for seventeen (17) years molding his life for his next career in politics.

One of his prime objectives and interests to enter politics is the problem on illegal drugs where youth are the victims, destroying the community and wreck the family relations. He said the youth has a big role and responsibility in their community, family for the development of this country.

Macabantog said he is after of the welfare of the youth as they are considered the hope of our nation and they should be guided to be responsible citizens of this country. He believes that he can be of help to the authorities to prevent if not to eradicate the menace of society which is illegal drugs.  

His advice to the candidates who are running for Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections who were implicated by the authorities to be in the narco lists to first clear their names before running in public services.

“If I will be elected as barangay chairman of my barangay, I will religiously perform my duties and responsibilities as public servant as what my platforms want me to do”, Macabantog said.

Macabantog said he is supporting Duterte administration especially in the campaign against illegal drugs and corruption for the development of the country.
