2 Most Wanted Persons Arrested in Molave, ZamboSur

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (July 9, 2018) – Two wanted person were successfully arrested by the combined PNP operating troops during the conduct of law enforcement operation at Purok 2, Barangay Bagong Gutlang in Molave municipality of this province at about 12:20 AM of July 8, 2018, Police Official said.

Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) PIO Chief CINSP Helen L. Galvez disclosed that the combined PNP troops were composed from the Regional Special Operation Group (RSOG) 9 and Molave Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination with the Army’s 10^th Infantry Battalion and Sergio Osmeña Municipal Police Station (MPS).

CINSP Galvez said that the operation was against the two wanted persons identified as Noel Mata Dumaid Alias Tata, 48 years old and Juvy Camiñus Dumaid, 21 years old father and son respectively, both residing of the aforementioned place.

The operating troops served the warrants of arrest against Noel Dumaid alias Tata for the crime of Theft under Criminal Case No. 7265 issued by Hon. Judge Mary Ann D. Real-Jamero, Presiding Judge of MTC in Molav dated March 15, 2017 with bail bond in the amount of six thousand (P6,000.00) pesos. While the warrant of arrest against Juvy C Dumaid for the crime of Attempted Murder under Criminal Case No 2017-10-3366 issued by Hon. Judge Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur dated April 19, 2017 with bailbond in the amount of eighty thousand (P80,000.00) pesos, Galvez added.r

Galvez also disclosed that the combined PNP operating team arrived in the area particularly outside the residence of said wanted persons.

Negotiations was made for their surrender who were both sleeping inside their house by knocking the door and introducing themselves as law enforcers serving warrants of arrest against them, Galvez said.

Suddenly, the said accused wanted person identified as Noel M Dumaid, armed with a homemade shotgun jumped out from the house and aimed his shotgun towards the operating troops and in the act of shooting, Galvez also said.

She added that upon seeing imminent danger, one of the police officer shot Noel Dumaid hitting the latter in the right shoulder and left leg reason. He was neutralized and the police confiscated from his possession and control one homemade shotgun with four ammunitions while one ammunition was loaded in the chamber.  

On the other hand, the other accused wanted person identified as Juvy Dumaid voluntarily surrendered to the joint team and was then brought to Molave MPS. Meanwhile the wounded Noel Dumaid was brought immediately to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment, PRO-9 PIO Chief said.

         

Molave MPS is now preparing the criminal cases for Violation of R.A. 10591 and Qualified/Aggravated Direct Assault for inquest proceeding against Noel M Dumaid who is now recuperating in the hospital to be filed before the Provincial Prosecutor.
