Vice Mayor of Sapa-sapa, Tawi-tawi shot to death in Zamboanga City

Zamboanga City (July 13, 2018) – An elected official of Tawi-tawi province was shot to dath by riding in tandem on July 11, 2018 at about 5:05pm, Shooting incident transpired at Gov. Alvarez, Camino Nuevo, Zamboanga City near La Merced Memorial Home, particularly in front of Perla Insurance.

Police disclosed that the victim was the Vice-mayor of Municipality of Sapa Sapa, Tawi-Tawi identified as Hji. Alrasid Mohammad Lipae Ali, 53 yrs. old.

The other victim was his security escort identified as PO1 Abdulmurib Ilahan Hadjirul assigned at Sapa Sapa Tawi and designated as 2nd Platoon Mobile of PRO ARMM, 34 years old, male and a resident of Salamat Bungao, Tawi-Tawi who was wounded.

Said victims was shot by Two unidentified suspects onboard an XRM 125 motorcycle colored black with no plate number attached while on board a black SUV vehicle at the afore-mentioned place.

The vice-mayor sustained several gunshot wounds on his chest and was brought to Doctors Hospital for medical treatment while undergoing treatment the victim was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Recovered from the crime scene were Three empty shells of alleged cal. 45.
