PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 1, 2019)– Speaking before members of the Pagadian-ZDS Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation in a dinner meeting at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City on Friday, Gov. Victor Yu took the opportunity to thank the business sector for their support to his victory in the recent midterm elections.

In his speech during the Business Week culmination, the Zamboanga del Sur governor said the agenda of his administration is geared towards improving the living standard of the people in the province.

He said that the programs for education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and other aspects are basically planned on how to increase the income of the people.

The top official of the province reiterated his words during the oath-taking ceremony that his administration will be open to all and without any wall, fence or barriers.

“We want everybody in Zamboanga del Sur to be part of this government, especially the business sector, I want your inputs, your participation. I want to be with you in this government. Because I know you have ideas that we don’t have,” the governor said.

He shared that they already started organizing the Provincial Development Board, the Local School Board and Peace and Order Council.

Gov. Yu also gave a “teaser” on giving back permits to sand and gravel sellers in the province by mid-August this year.

He said that a Provincial Mining Board formed will meet with concessionaires on first week of August to discuss the matter.

He assured that the partnership and cooperation of the business community and the local government will be beneficial for the society’s progress.

At the end of his speech, Gov. Yu challenged the business sector and every Zambosurian to participate in his administration with a changed mindset.
