PAGADIAN
CITY (July 8, 2020) – A small plane carrying four passengers crash-landed
along the Coastal Line of Sinunuc Boulevard, Barangay Sinunuc, Zamboanga City
at about 9:30 morning of July 7, 2020.
Major
Helen Galavez. PNP Region 9 Information Officer identified the plane passengers
as Suramya khanal, 28 yrs old, single, Nepalese National, student pilot; Jyothis
John Pulinthanam, Indian National, 27 yrs old, single, captain; Jemy Chacko
Domen, Instructor and passenger, 34 yrs old, married, India National, and Razel
Y. Dulay, Mechanic, 27yrs old, single, all residing at Dumaguete City, Negros
Oriental.
Police
investigation disclosed that the plane piper Seneca color white (RP-C834) with
twin engines was flying bound to Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental when one of
the engines suffered an engine failure forcing the pilot of the said plane to emergency
crash landed along the coast line of Sinunuc, Zambonaga City and ditch in the
sea to prevent further harm to the passengers.
No
one was hurt during the said incident as the passengers managed to safely exit
the plane, Galvez said.
The
ill-fated small plane (RP-C834) is owned by the Royhle Flight Academy based in
