Php1M worth of Shabu seized from two apprehended drug personalities

PAGADIAN CITY (Jan. 7, 2021) - Two illegal-drug personalities were nabbed, while Php1M worth of shabu was seized in a joint buy-bust operation launched by the military, police, and PDEA-BARMM in Maguindanao on Wednesday (January 6).

“Based on the report from JTF Central, the joint operation conducted by the combined elements of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion, 6th Infantry Battalion, PDEA-BARMM, and Datu Odin Sinsuat Municipal Police Station.

The successful operation was resulted in the apprehension of two illegal-drug personalities identified as Sabir Tahir Omar, a.k.a. Bertos Taher Omar, and Enar Lumawan Bulilo, a.k.a. Jabbar,” Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr. said.

“Bought from the said suspects during the buy-bust operation conducted at the Public Market of Barangay Dalican in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao at 11 a.m., were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 250 grams white crystalline substance believed to be shabu placed inside a green backpack with an estimated market value amounting to Php1, 000,000.00,” Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr. added.

Seized were five heat-sealed sachets of shabu, one genuine one-thousand-peso bill on top of six bundles of boodle money worth PhP600, 000.00, three cellular phones, wallets and identification cards, one black sling bag, and one motorcycle after conducting body search with the said suspects.

Omar and Bulilo were brought to the PDEA-BARMM for proper disposition and appropriate filing of cases.

“The military continues to conduct law enforcement support operations with the police and other law enforcement agencies to prevent the proliferation of illegal drugs in the province of Maguindanao,” Officer-In-Charge of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade Col. Ferdinand Lacadin, also said.

Meanwhile, Joint Task Force Central Commander Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy pointed out, “JTF Central will continue to fulfill its mandates to end terrorism, and assist our partners in deterring crimes and expediting the arrest of lawless elements in our area of operation.” (By JONG CADION with reports and photos from WestMinCom PIO)
