ZAMBOANGA
CITY – A wanted person was arrested by the operatives of the Composite Unit of Criminal
Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) headed by Police Inspector Ace Versoza
after positively identified as aka Abdul Baliyung who has a pending warrant of
arrest being a member of Abussayap and a reward of P350 thousand in his head.
He
was identified later as a certain Ainbasa B. Jandul 41 years old, married with
2 children and wife Monarasana M. Jandul who is a Barangay Official of Brgy.

The
arrest was conducted at the terminal in Isabela City after the suspect disembarking
the boat from the island early morning on August 25, 2012.
Then
suspected abussayap member is an Imam at the same time Arabic teacher, Madrasa
Darul Bahar. He is said to be affiliated with the Basilan Ulama Supreme
Council.
Jandul
was brought to the Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) and the later was also
turned over to CIDG Headquarters at Cawa-cawa Boulevard in Zamboanga City.
In
a text message from his wife stated and unquote “I am appealing to the people
of Basilan and the media, my husband was forcibly arrested this morning at
Isabela terminal by the members of CIDG without pertinent papers and when they
found no evidence they raid my house without again search warrant and they
bring my Computer loptop, CPU and the memory card. Please help me.”(Jong Cadion
