2 died in Vehicular Accident in Tungawan, ZamboSibugay


Rural Bus fell outbalanced on the hollow 
roadside

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (June 10, 2018) – Two died in Vehicular Accident transpired along National Highway of Purok 2, Brgy. Upper Tungawan of Tungawan municipality in Zamboanga Sibugay province Sunday at about 1:00pm, police official said.

P01 Mohammad Nur Hadjail Alamia, investigator on case disclosed that the accident involving two vehicles:
Vehicle 1 – Service Utility Vehicle (SUV) Mitsubishi Mirage with plate number ACA-3079 driven by Rex Arquiza Excosio, 29 years old a resident of Barangay Boalan, Zamboanga City and
Vehicle 2 - Passenger Bus number-9646 registered under the name of Rural Transit Incorporated, driven by Gene Garrata Roso, 48 years old, male, married and resident of Purok bless, Pagadian City.

The personnel of Tungawan Bureau of Fire Protection and Tungawan Municipaal Police Station responded to the accident area and conducted rescue operation.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the SUV was travelling from Zamboanga City bound for Ipil municipality while the passenger bus was travelling from Ipil bound for Zamboanga City.

Upon reaching at the place of accident particularly at the blind curve of the road, driver of SUV hit the left side front bumper of passenger bus resulted the driver of Rural Bus lost control, hit at the rail guard, and fell outbalanced on the hollow roadside, P01 Alamia added.

He also said that the driver of SUV and his passenger succumbed to their death from their injuries. The SUV driver and his passenger identified as Emeryl Laurice Jimenez Baird, 29 years old, female and resident of Sto. Nino Village, Barangay Putik, Zamboanga City were pronounced dead by their attending physician.

The driver of passenger bus and his twenty-eight passengers were sustained minor injuries except of the two other passengers identified as Ana Patricia Alterado, 19 years old, female, a resident of Davao City and Lolita Alterado were rushed to Zamboanga City Hospital for further medical treatment.
