PAYAO,
Zamboanga Sibugay (June 17, 2018) – Two
were killed while the other was injured after they were hit by lightning on
June 14, 2018 at about 6:30 PM, transpired at Barangay Bulawan in Payao
municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay province, police official said.
PO1 Ahmed Bryan Barrientos with and PO1 Richard S. Mercurio, investigator on
case identified the killed victims as Ranilo Navarro Sr., 49 years old, married,
farmer, Barangay Tanod and Michael Castillo, 27 years old, married, farmer,
both residents of Barangay Bulawan of this said municipality.
The injured child victim identified as
Eric Labao Dela Cruz, 22 years old, married, farmer, a resident of Barangay
Nanan also of the same municipality, he was severely injured and brought to
Lancheta Hospital in Imelda municipality of this province for medical attention.
Initial investigation conducted
disclosed that the three victims are working in the rice field that due to
heavy rainfall they took their shelter in the farm that they were hit by the
lightning.
