3 DEAD IN BUS-MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT IN ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY

Rural Bus at Pagadian IBT

PAGADIAN CITY – A Motorcycle driver and his two back rider passengers were died after colliding with Mindanao Rural Transit Bus (MRT Aircon) along the intersection of national highway of Brgy. Kauswagan in Diplahan town Zamboanga Sibugay.

P/Insp. Leonardo Dator Panes, Officer In Charge of Diplahan Municipal Police Station identified the fatalities as Alexander Salac the driver of motorcycle, 25 years old and a resident of Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte and his back rider Ricky Bulahan were reportedly dead on the spot while Marlon Calago was rushed to Saint John Hospital in Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay but died on their way. The 2 back riders were both legal age and residents of Brgy. Catituan, Malangas of the said province.

Rural Bus

Initial Police investigation disclosed that at about 2:10 in the afternoon on October 29, 2012 the motorcycle was traversing from Brgy. Songduya and upon reaching Poblacion Diplahan particularly at the intersection of Barangay Kauswagan in high speed without any precaution crossed the national highway while the MRT Bus was on his way from Zamboanga City to Pagadian City that resulted the said accident.

The MRT Bus with body No. 930 and plate No. KVP 971 was driven by Nicomedes Jaculbe Lada, 51 years old, married and a resident of Pagadian City was voluntarily surrendered to the Police Station for proper disposition of the case.

The fatalities were brought to the funeral parlor while police authorities exerted effort to locate and contact their families and relatives. (WITH REPORTS BY JONG CADION)
