CITY (January 17, 2018) - The Deputy Regional Director for Administration
(DRDA) of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO-9) was among the newly-promoted star
rank officers of the PNP during the oath taking and donning of ranks ceremony
of newly-promoted star rank officers held at the PNP National Headquarters in
Camp Crame, Quezon City on Tuesday (January 16) presided by no less than the Chief
PNP, POLICE DIRECTOR GENERAL RONALD M DELA ROSA, official said.

information officer PCINSP HELEN L GALVEZ disclosed that PCSUPT EDWIN SADAMA DE
OCAMPO, Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA) together with the
following senior police officers, PCSUPT REY LYNDON TOLEDO LAWAS (Directorate
for Human Resource and Doctrine Development); PCSUPT CARLITO NAVARRO FELICIANO (PRO
6); PCSUPT JOHN CRESENCIO BULALACAO (NCRPO); PCSUPT R'WIN STA ANA PAGKALINAWAN
(PRO COR); and PCSUPT ROLANDO BARAJAN ANDUYAN (PRO ARMM) who were promoted to
one-star rank formally took oath before their love ones and the CPNP at the PNP
National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Tuesday (January 16, 2018).

GALVEZ said that PCSUPT DE OCAMPO, who hails from Tuguegarao, Cagayan and
father of four children, is a member of PNPA class of 1987. He has been
assigned at PRO9 since 1997 up to 2014 where he served the Zamboanga City
Police Office (ZCPO) being the City Director from 2010-2013. Prior to his
assignment as ZCPO City Director, he was the Chief of the Regional Logistics and
Research Development Division of PRO9.
Prior
to his assumption as the Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA) of
PRO9, he had served the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO)
particularly at Eastern Police District (EPD) as Chief Directorial Staff,
Deputy District Director for Operations and Deputy District Director for
Administration, respectively from 2014-2016. The newly promoted 2nd man in
command of PRO9 had been recipients of various medals/ awards and commendations.
Among them are “Medalya ng Kadakilaan” awarded by PDIR JOEL PAGDILAO and PCSUPT
JUANITO VANO; “Medalya ng Paglilingkod sa Santo Papa awarded by PDIR VALMORIA;
“Leadership Award in Criminology” and “Letter of Commendation” awarded by
PCSUPT ROMULO SAPITULA, she added.
The
promotion of one star rank of PCSUPT DE OCAMPO was approved by no less than the
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte upon the recommendation of the Department of
Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Ano and with the
concurrence of the Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board (SOPPB). Following
his well-deserved promotion, PCSUPT DE OCAMPO will be accorded with traditional
arrival honor by PRO9 upon arrival at the PRO9 Headquarters, Mercedes,
Zamboanga City on (Monday) January 22, 2017.
