PRO9 celebrated traditional New Year’s Call 2018

ZAMBOANGA CITY (January 12, 2018) - Members of the Command Group, Directorial Staff, Unit Commanders and Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) of Police Regional Office 9 including the Chiefs of Regional Support Unit (RSU) paid the traditional New Year’s call to the Regional Director, PCSUPT BILLY B BELTRAN on Thursday (January 11) at Garden Orchid Hotel, Gov. Camins Avenue, Zamboanga City, official said.
         
In his message, The Regional Director stressed that the Year 2018 marks another challenge to the Command.  He also emphasized, it is not hard if we work together to attain the assigned tasks. He further said that the essence of the New Year’s Call is not only to renew our commitment, but instead, he called to strengthen our commitment towards our family, friends and the community, through hard work. The Regional Director congratulated the men and women of PRO9 for all the operational and administrative accomplishments in 2017 and urged them to sustain the best public service rendered to the constituents in Zamboanga Peninsula for this year 2018. In addition, PCSUPT Beltran also encouraged the personnel of PRO9 to continue to work harder for this 2018 and wishes them a happy and a prosperous New Year.
         



ZCPO-PRO9 information officer PCINSP HELEN L GALVEZ said that as part of the customs and traditions of the PNP, the conduct of traditional New Year's Call is a yearly doing activity wherein all members of the command group, directorial, and special staffs, provincial and city directors, and other senior officers of the PRO9 Regional Headquarters will render a courtesy call to the Regional Director.
         



She further said that it is an age old tradition in the uniformed services that allows subordinate leaders to manifest courtesy and loyalty to the commander. It is also an opportune time for the organization to renew its pledge of loyalty to the Flag and the duly constituted authorities at start of each year. Moreover, it is also serves as an opportunity for the Seniors Officers and Unit Commanders to bolster their commitment to the public service after a year of tedious hardworking in accomplishing their assigned task.
